Although I’m not diametrically opposed to the formal “Mr. and Mrs. John Doe” addressing of wedding invitations (which puts me in the minority I fear — I read an inordinate number of angry rants today), I’m delighted with the idea of addressing my save-the-dates with first names only. I wanted to have a touch of fun and whimsy on my invitation precursors, and this seems to fall right in line.

One possible jumping off point for save the date cards from invitedink. For quite some time, I’ve been interested in having a save the date where you punch or circle the date information, and in this case, it gives an organic touch to a clean, modern card.
